I find it very strange that I haven’t sang anything at karaoke since last October? Or have I done it and just forgotten? Either way, I headed down to Bender’s for Puck Rock & Schlock (my favorite night of karaoke). 

To get it out of the way, I did one of Madonna’s more bizarre songs, “Dear Jessie.” It’s possibly her second worst song (after “Cherish,” shudder). Seriously, check out this mind-bender of a video:

Another wonderful night at Bender’s with the always lovely Eileen. I managed to get two Madonna songs in before screeching out a halfway decent “Call Me Maybe.” 

I have made the executive decision to rid myself of the Evita tracks, because I don’t really consider them Madonna songs. I have added “4 Minutes,” because I missed it earlier, but need to find a suitable Justin Timberlake.

A while back, I drunkenly decided I wanted to sing every Madonna song available for karaoke. While I have diligently been working towards this goal, I haven’t been as good about documenting it, leaving me drunkenly standing at Benders, looking at the list and trying to remember what I haven’t sung. I know I’ve probably forgotten some that I’ve already done, but I’ll just have to do them again, then!

I’ve decided that it’s my new mission to sing all the Madonna songs that Eileen has at Punk Rock ‘n’ Schlock karaoke (the last Friday of the month at Benders!)

Dress You Up was superfun, and completely in my range. I think I need to add that to the go-to repertoire. Ray of Light was also fun, but I’m pretty sure I can only sing it after three beers. When I no longer care if I can hit the high notes.
